Some films are so emotionally overwhelming that they don’t just tell you a story—they grab you by the ribs and refuse to let go. Scott Hicks’s Shine (1996) is exactly that kind of film. Based on the true story of Australian pianist David Helfgott, it traces one man’s descent into mental illness and his painstaking, triumphant re-emergence into life. With a career-defining performance from Geoffrey Rush, a heartbreaking turn from Armin Mueller-Stahl, and a musical soul that never stops beating, Shine remains one of the most devastatingly beautiful biopics ever made. It is not a film about perfection. It is a film about survival.

The story opens in the 1950s. Young David Helfgott (Alex Rafalowicz) is a child prodigy growing up in a cramped Australian household ruled by his father, Peter (Mueller-Stahl). Product quality:Great quality and softer than I anticipated
True to product images:Looks like the models photos
Smell description:No strong odor
Fabric material:Softer than anticipated and stretchy
Fit:It fits right along the body and it is not really a full crop but I will scrunch it up slightly to give that feeling

So so cute and true to size. The material is not very stretchy so I would size up if anyone is worried about it.

Prob should’ve sized up for a looser fit. Material is great and not see through
