This was my 2nd buy; I got a large first (recommended) and they didn’t show as much skin as I wanted. I had to adjust the side ties to get the medium to zip, and hadn’t realized that the tie is a closed loop; the tight and loose spots can be rearranged, but to be able to loosen a lot you’d have to replace the ties with longer ones (not too difficult, but I’m lazy)
